You really know how to make me laugh, Dove.

Anyway, all. Thanks for an enjoyable day, but it's now 11.30pm and its time for bed. Catch you when the clocks change.image

My friend came and went, good to see her, we looked at each others' grandchildren photos and of the cottage we are buying in Norfolk.

I quite like ironing, sit down and watch daytime TV.

I like roast chicken and thyme crisps or just plain salted. Don't fancy them with sweet flavours and alcohol though.

    Great bird cage FG.

    Brilliant Dove image

Perhaps the furry outer layer would get a bit soggy here though...imageimage

Why is it sunnier in Cornwall than Dordogne?

...and warmer BL - certainly warmer than here image

Got outside to do my bulbs and a few other things - divided some irises that aren't performing, and pruned back the last few long buddleia branches. Some showers but not too bad - bitter cold wind though. It's that time of the year though.

Made a 'sacrificial' fat feeder for the starlings and hung that out on a hook. They head for that on their 'route' and leave the other food for the ground feeders like blackbirds and dunnocks. That's the idea anyway. It worked quite well last year image

Cup of tea now while the chicken roasts for dinner

Great idea with the bird cage Fairyimage.  I've been shivering this afternoon.  We're going to a 60th birthday party tonight so I'm playing the bad foot card and getting a lift thereimageimage.  I'll still have to walk back though.

Perhaps you should have gone for a cottage in Cornwall Lizzieimage

I've just watched a starling try and figure out why he can't get into the food....result!

I replaced the cane with a bit of a buddleia branch...less obvious. I've already found something I can use for a waterproof roof as well. Might have to wait till next year to  get done though image

The b***y pigeons are eating all the nasturtiums though  image

Now  then....what can I come up with to outwit them....image image
