DD, I can't imagine how you can knit with your bandaged hand. I sympathise with being fed up, I've nearly gone crazy being sick and in the house. The TV is a trap. Nothing seems to lift your spirit. Hope you can get your hand back to normal soon.
Hello Topbird. Will do. Is she on the south side or the north? Our daughter is on the south side.(closer to us) . We did buy a little two burner gas camping stove because we went through a period of power outages a couple of years ago, but haven't needed to use it yet. It's just a nuisance having to get it out and set up, and the thing I'll miss most of all is the TV and Internet. We are expecting 28c tomorrow, so it'll be good to be in thevairconditioned vehicle and our daughters unit Which is always comfortable.
Being a country girl I was used to occasional power outages in bad weather, and they sometimes occurred when we lived in the city centre too, but since we've lived here we've not experienced one at all (fingers crossed). I wonder if things are better maintained because we're near to the big hospital or is it just good luck
It's raining here this morning - I wasn't expecting that - I thought they'd been telling us we're in the middle of a dry spell, or have I mis-remembered I've just checked the forecast and the fine weekend I was expecting seems to have disappeared too
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Dropped off the radar for a bit but I will try to show my face sometimes from now on, this face not this face or this face and never this face
Garden has had to look after itself for a few months, barely had time to tie in the roses but I have bought more tulips and alliums this year,
Started decorating the entire house since finishing one room makes the others look worse , my floor laying skills are actually good! Also passed my driving test on Monday, first time so I can finally put my feet up yipee, l mean...get out and about shopping lots!
Great to see you again Winter and congratulations on passing your test. Imagine, no more backpacking to the GC.
Pat it's a good idea to get away for the day tomorrow. It's amazing how we rely so much on electricity - even the shops can't cope if they can't use their tills. We don't get many power cuts now (fingers crossed) but at least we have a gas hob.
