Sales shopping for me today. Don't do them normally as I think it's better value for money when you buy and actually wear/use an item you really want rather than because it was a bargain,
...saying that, I'm looking for new lounge wear (which doesn't have to be that special) maybe a handbag in blue or silver and some new boots for evening wear, in the exact style I'm looking for .
We'll see .
What a terrible time it is with all those bushfires Pat. I hope everyone is safe and supported by local authorities
WW sounds like you had a nice relaxing Christmas and got well just in time.
Right, need to fly. ..no make up day but got to find parking
Hello pat e, I live in Cumbria today is going to be heavy rain all day so it's possible we will get more flooding, (not me personally) the ground is saturated from weeks of rain all the rivers are very high and we have rivers, streams and waterfalls not seen before.
its heartbreaking driving through parts of Kendal that have been flooded houses with piles of peoples lives in the front garden and businesses closed.
i don't usually post on this thread but will keep you updated
Hello Verdun and Jo. Verdun you are naughty. I might just warn the manager of the gc to keep an eye for you!
Jo, because I was being very lazy today, I didn't make the risotto - maybe tomorrow. Instead we had some of the left over garlic prawns from Christmas lunch microwaved . I'll watch the seasoning - don't want to disturb your sleep! I'm looking forward to making your recipe.
So very sad to read about people struggling with such adverse weather. Any time of the year is awful but at Christmas all the more heart wrenching.
My lazy day has done my back some good (think it must be the sciatic nerve) feels much better today but still avoiding any sudden movements.
We have some Dutch guests staying, the rest of their family have a house in the town so they are just using us for B&B and have been out all the days. Unfortunately the lady is allergic to cats and hyacinths so both have had to be put outside - neither look happy about it - I just love the smell of hyacinths at Christmas, but not to be this year.
Might try a little jog with my new step counter later - maybe.
Good day to all.

DD - I feel for you - my OH can't cope with hyacinths indoors so since we've been together I've not grown them ... And re your back - you should compare notes with Wonky - she gets problems with her sciatic nerve if she's not careful!

Hello little-ann. thanks for responding. As you can see, Dove gave me some news of the area. Hope people are ok and managing with it.
We must have been typing at the same time
