Glad you're ok Pam and son- of -Dove Verd - please don't go out unless you absolutely have to or I'll have to fly down there and have a word with you.
And you don't want that now do you?
Tracey - tights- you're better not knowing, but it was a discussion we had on the Gardening Jokes thread, or Gardeners' Giggles as I like to think of it. Verdun's confessing to all sorts
pd - hope it goes well. Dove's right - you ain't seen us- right?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Afternoon all, hope everyone is safe. There is a lot of wind here, but otherwise OK. We have had it fairly easy here in the midlands, while the southwest has been battered. Oh well, fairly quiet here, back to work for me.
Hello folks, I'm home - Ma is fine, confused and talking absolute bunkum about new cats and babies, and seeing her mother the other day and all sorts of things, but she's happy and has totally forgotten about scalding herself. She has a red burn mark but the staff are keeping an eye on it. Pa is just sitting there and listening to it all - I was able to have a chat with him without Ma and reassured him that we know she's confused but that we'll look after them both and that he's got nothing to worry about.
I've heard from my son - he's done his business in Cornwall and is on his way back to Suffolk - he asked council workers where to park in Lostwithiel and they showed him a car park by the river and said that high tide had passed so he'd be ok parking there - when he returned to his car 3 hours later he had to take his shoes and socks off, roll his trouser legs up and paddle to his car - he said the water was just below the sills - another couple of inches and it would have flooded the car when he opened the door.
I'm completely cream crackered and am sitting on the sofa with a cuppa
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
No glass half full for that last paragraph then Verdun, can't see any positives in that really, which is unusual for me It really has to end soon surely??
Other than that I agree with your first part. I had a rubbish year 2012 and by the time it got to October I vowed to start trying to be more positive, in behaviour, thoughts and actions and it worked.....2013 was a great year, we both got new jobs, getting along better, the house is finished and so far is continuing apart from the usual stresses of very trying teenagers
I'm back obviously..Lily , get a grip dear ... both were in the worst of the weather last night..have you been on the sherbert dabs again? you are working too hard.
A lot to comment on from today's posts on our happy thread.
Think all know that I wish all & families well.
Want to say about glass half full etc.
I spent nearly 3yrs years thinking I was going mad. Finally had meds for 10yrs and functioned and worked full time. Didn't want meds and things weren't too bad as I then worked with lovely people and our job was to support people with dementia and it made me think I was lucky. Had a re-lapse but then went for CBT ( cognitive behaviour therapy) the best thing I ever did, and so wish it had been available when I first "lost the plot". I can say that cos it was me.
So all fellow "wibblers" take heart you can get better. Some that know me might question that. But I was always a bit silly
Right I'm pressing submit before I bottle out delete and post about my new socks
