GUESS WHO HAS A FOUR DAY WEEKEND! Yes admittedly I've not got a single day off in November but to be able to even think about a day off for the past few months has been a joke. So I've cleaned the house and am now.... waiting for the mortgage valuer to show up sometime between 09:00 - 12:00. I'm glad in this modern world we still expect people to loose their morning waiting for a person to show up. What happened to half hour text messages to let you get home? Oh well: it gives me chance to pack the dogs bag ready for visiting the family. I am not sure how one little dog needs so much stuff. No wonder they talk about when you have children needing to get a bigger car! The dog at least doesn't need entertaining on the car journey!
Any suggestions for a nice diabetic gluten free celebration type cake for coffee and nibbles that I could make to take with me?
Have a good weekend Clari - how about one of the cakes made with ground almonds in place of flour such as this moist orange and almond cake - perhaps topped with ether flaked almonds or berries and a little whipped cream.
You could probably replace half or all the sugar with one of the sweeteners suitable for use in cooking (replace quantities per instructions on the packet). Diabetics whose blood sugar levels are well controlled and have cut out sweet treats from their daily diet can sometimes have the occasional non-diabetic sweet treat - but only you know who you're cooking for
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Good afternoon Hosta The landlord shouted at the electrician who is (or should be) at the flat. Unfortunately the plumber is now away on holiday until next weekend
It's a glorious day here - I've got three loads of washing out and the towels are nearly dry! There's a robin shouting at someone, some goldfinches singing at anyone and a chicken loudly announcing the arrival of an egg to everyone .... although the thermometer says it's only 15C it feels so warm that I've got the doors open onto the terrace

The spammers gave us at least two whole pages of something - I don't think any of us could read whatever language it was in - the Mods zapped it all as soon as they got into the office

afternoon one and all.
Poor Wonky . After all the hard work to get into the new flat only to be let down by electrician.
Got up this morning to realise my barber appointment was an hour earlier than I though. Just about to have breakfast now.
I seemed to have missed the spammers . Maybe I've not checked the right posts
Almost the weekend everyone, esp Fidget. Lots of love to you and hubs to be.
Good afternoon Hosta

One wonders why folk have so little else to do then "spam"
I don't think you'll get very far chatting with the gondoliers with your new language skills Verdun

You'll need to get up earlier to see the spammers, Hostiepops!

Clari - glad you've got a little time off. Are you selling your house? I must have missed that
You'd have got an extra doughnut with that 80 pence Verd. Not like you to miss a trick
Not a bad day here and I'm back from work, and I've taken a few pix for Dove's autumnal thread.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
