The money for the sponsored walks goes directly to Children in Need so for the purposes of the forum I think it would have to be cheques made out to that, but sent to me. Not sure I can do it any other way as I have to send all the money with the form. If anyone wants to take a look and see what they think, just go onto the Countryfile website and follow the links to the sponsored walk bit and the form.
I'm going to download and print some forms off as a couple of other friends are hopefully doing it with me. I can just put vague names and areas for you on the form - don't think I'd need more than that but will check.
It's the weekend of 10th/11th October and I plan to do the route I normally do at the Pentland Hills. I might add on another summit, which is just a spur of Scald Law, which will make 6 summits and a total of around 12/13 miles. Takes around five/six hours .
I'll do a proper thread perhaps, to make it easier, but anyone interested can just PM me.
You really are a great lot of people
...and I'd love a piece of that nice tart Steve
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Hosta - there's a gift aid box to tick on the sponsorship form so I can tick for anyone who requires it!
I might mention the possum wool to someone I work with - she's always complaining about cold feet. She knits, so perhaps she can start a business making socks
I'm a bit concerned about all these scantily clad people in their gardens...couldn't have managed without a raincoat and wellies here this afternoon.
Clothes underneath too of course...

Hi Folks, Didn't get much sleep last night and then had Nanna duties so feeling pretty tired and confused, have only just got back and had a quick look back - can't remember much apart from something about Verdun tidying out Lillys cupboards in just his socks???? you might want to be careful of that cutlery drawer
Got a bit bored at Firstborns so popped out to Wyvale and picked up a few plants to tart up a couple of pots in the front garden, inbetween waiting for a cooker to be delivered, the BT man coming to check the phone line and doing a couple of loads of washing.
Taking Hubby back to the hospital tomorrow for a check up, don't think I'll be doing much else though.
Fairygirl, are you getting the Aurora borealis up there, or is it too cloudy. ?
I have never seen it , and although we were going to go South for the week after the wedding, if there's a chance of seeing the Northern Lights, we might go North instead.
Fidget - no time for Aurora watching - been busy replying to all the lovely people here who want to sponsor me!
Seriously - no chance here tonight with all the rain and cloud
I believe there's been quite a few sightings up here this year though. The west coast but further south seems to get views - Dumfries and Galloway area is supposed to be a good vantage point if it's clear.
