Hi Fairygirl. Yes, I wish I hadn't witnessed the act of the hawk taking the little hare. If I hadn't seen it, I would have just assumed that he had moved to another location. Yes, I know that the hawk has to eat as well, but I'd been so enjoying the little fellow.
Pat it is strange tonthink that someone on the other side of the world has exactly the same appointments on the calendar as me. Re HRH's grooming session and booster vacs at the vets. Poor little hare.
Dove it is most inconsiderate of them both to have a birthday so close to Christmas
Fairy your pic of Killin really showed the force of the river. I've only seen it in the spring and it looked pretty fast then but running at normal levels. I really feel for all the people who have had to leave their homes, not knowing when they will be fit to live in again. Hooe we hear from Bushman today.
Hope all the workers have as good a day as possible.
Lesley - I watched the news reports last night with those poor souls being evacuated and it was heartbreaking. Two opposites isn't it - when you think of Pat's situation with bush fires and the floods here in Britain. Both equally devastating. When we're all sitting in our homes cosy and dry having Christmas dinner, hopefully we'll spare a thought for all the displaced people who are less fortunate, and count our many blessings.
Hope B'man's ok too. I think he's higher up but I'm not sure why I think that.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hi Verdun. The fires are not causing major problems at the moment, thank goodness, but those that were affected a couple of weeks ago, must be really struggling. It's hard to re-build and re-stock. No pasture for replacement livestock, no wheat left to harvest, homes and lives lost or damaged, etc, etc. I don't like to think about it. It must be just as bad for flood victims.
Ive got to stop soundingbso morbid. Time to look forward.
Overslept .....got littlest chicklet to the train on time by getting dressed in one minute flat. Will now be out of sorts for the rest of the day. OH is laughing ....said it still took me 10 seconds longer than his normal routine.
but my newly weeded and mulched flowerbed looked great on my way back in (didn't notice on my way out as I was too busy negotiating the steps three at a time)
and now.....time for a cuppa.....and breathe......

Morning Dove and HI Pat
Very dark here and it's been very wet through the night. I think it's off just now but can't see!
Shame about the little hare Pat - nature eh?
DD- busy as always - don't know where you find the energy.
Off to see what you've all been doing since I was on last, then work ...sigh...
Stay warm and dry everyone

Hi Lesley. Yes that's a strange coincidence with the dogs. Have a good day.
