Not sure if I can bear to watch the tennis - may have to watch through my fingers....
Hosta - I don't drink so wouldn't think to stop at pubs after a walk - usually just want to get home! Where you park at the Pentland hills there is a nice one though. I may do them as the walk - haven't really decided or thought about it much to be honest....
I should be doing housework but 'the boys' are calling me....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Afternoon all, Just got back from hospital, mum's quite frail but they are sending her home, I think she will improve quicker once she's back.
Have had a very productive morning, washed and stored loads of pots, mowed the lawns and sowed Meconopsis Sheldonii Lingholm, Snapdragon Madame Butterfly, Wallflower Ivory White and foxgloves Alba.
Hope she improves back in her own surroundings Yvie.
I'm exhausted from watching the tennis....don't want to be a spoiler but....they'll be cheering on the streets of Dunblane tonight! Bless them all in that beautiful little town.
I've had a lunch in the Flotterstone Inn Lesley - only once I think though. It's very nice as you say
I should make myself useful now, but can't compete with Yvie, so perhaps best not to even try....

Hosta, re scan. My first app was at 8.50pm!!!!! When I explained I am usually heading to my bed about then (!) suddenly there was one available at 2.05pm the Same Day?
how on earth they do the appointments baffles me. OH gets an automated call when he has to go through about 6 questions just to be given his reminder!
Yvie glad to hear about your mum
Fairy, not just Dunblane!

I've caught up with today's posts on here, but having missed Friday & Saturday for the Harrogate show and singing engagements, I'm going to have to work hard to catch up!
Glad your Mum's coming home, Yvie. Hope the familiar surroundings help her to improve more quickly now.
Hosta, I guess as long as the hospital staff are awake for your appointment, it doesn't really matter if you're not...
A walk for Children in Need sounds a great idea, Fairy!
Friday was fun at the Flower Show. Not many show gardens this year because part of the showground is being reconstructed, but plenty of beautiful flowers to ogle. I bought allium bulbs and erythroniums.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

For a horrible moment there Hosta, I thought you were referring to Thatcher! That will teach me to read backwards.

I was of course referring to Dame Maggie Smith, not some hate filled bigot from yesteryear.
