Morning all, just took the car in for MOT, so I'll be legal again by lunchtime - Hopefully.
Half the Christmas decorations are up, the rest will go up this afternoon. Tired after yesterdays struggle with Christmas Tree but need to get it all finished today so I can tidy up tomorrow ready for visitors on Saturday. Secondborn's future inlaws are coming down from the lakes to help them with packing for house move.
Weather here is damp but not cold, quite enjoyed the short walk back from the garage this morning.
not too bad here this morning but doubt it will last
hoping the Chickies are doing ok
DD are you feeling better?
OH away to fix fencing and then hopefully last if the leaves, I feel so guilty I am unable to help Christmas decorations will be kept to bare minimum this year as no family expected until 3rd January and that's only 2 nights before 12th night! Not sure what I will do
hoping to get some cards written today, must get started. Humbug

Morning all - grey but dry here. Not much to say other than to wish you all a happy day.
Just 3 presents left to wrap then it's time to start on the Christmas cards. But, first, a quick trip to the pharmacist to cash prescriptions and then the library. OH is doing dinner tonight (liver and bacon) and is also going to make an apple, pear, cranberry & nut strudel for Christmas Eve dinner. Better try to clear some space in the freezer...
Hope you get broadband soon Pat. We went from dial-up to broadband some years ago at our previous house. It made a noticeable difference even though it was really, really slow broadband compared to most addresses.
Much better where we are now and completely useable - but still well below the local target of 10Mbps - and no sign of anything improving anytime soon. There are many pluses and benefits to living in the sticks - but transport and communications are definitely not amongst them...
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Lilly Pilly , we are once again going to stay with family for christmas for at least a week and 1 year we decided not to put any decorations up BUT never again it felt miserable , so do put some up , you will feel better for it
We didn't put decorations up last year because the builder was due between Christmas and New Year to decorate the downstairs and plaster the hallway ceiling. Then he got 'flu ....... we were eventually re-decorated in March
Car now has new rear tyres and balanced and realigned wheels - that's £250 I won't be spending on Christmas decorations

It's so strange - I only get posts after I've put one on myself. at least that method is working.
