Seville oranges and Demerara sugar in pantry ready for marmalade making.

Cod, salmon and smoked haddock poaching for a pie for the weekend and a pie for the freezer.  Light lunch eaten.  Bins put out for tomorrow - weather still jolly wet - that walk isn't going to happen image

A little off topic (as much as we can ever be on this thread) but what do you suggest for a really good Burns Night? Last year I had Haggis for the first time (my own family aren't happy unless its a lump of meat and vegetables that have had the life boiled out of them so it was far too exotic to ever make it to our table growing up) and I'll be making it (if I can catch one) on Saturday for myself, my partner, and his friend whose coming back up for digging of the Man Cave part two.

Thanks for your positive comments on the blog. I find writing (okay - waffling) somewhat refreshing and a fantastic exercise for decluttering the mind. Hopefully I'll be able to bore you all with many more photographs soon!

Clari great blog, love yours and Clueless'. I also don't know how you find the time. I'm early retired and I seem to lose time image  Shouldn't have slowed down that much in 18months. Think I've turned into my Mum, one big job a day and I'm done but she is 85 image

What I need is the sun. In Spring & Summer I'm up and out of bed like coiled spring, 5.30 to 6am I'm happy with a mug of tea sitting outside on the bench then rairing to go. Now I can wake, consider getting up and look at the clock and it's turned 8am.  All I can say is KEF is a lazy Mo. image

Today for example we went to SM,at 12.30pm two trolleys one for Mum. Then come home, organised evening meal and now just faffing about.

If I was at work I'd get the sack!

Well in my defence I have paddled across the grass and had GH's open, fed the birds and cleaned the bathroom.

Also stood longingly wanting next Hellibore to open.

Me thinks a  kick in pants needed from friendly forkers image

Well KEF, you have done a lot more than me. Other than planting sweet pea seeds, I have done nothing, and, to make matters worse I have just phoned OH and told her I cant be bothered cooking tonight, so can she pick up a takeaway when she comes home?

As you say it is so much easier in the summer.

Clari, I really enjoyed reading your blog.
