Just want to thank kef and fidget for some wonderful company today, and fidget for showing us her fabulous garden and allowing us to steal just a couple (!) of plants. Thanks ladies.
Everyone had a sit in the hangy thing. I spent most of the afternoon in it.... until I couldn't stand the mildewed forgetmenots and then spent an hour pulling them out. Space now for other things in the gaps between the hemerocallis, oriental poppies, and various other stuff. I'd forgotten about the catananche. they were a bit weedy last year. Looking good this year. I found a new geranium from the seedlings, a pretty pink little thing.
I seem to have more cakes now, than I started off with this morning!!
I'm a very happy Dove - we have a frog and a Smooth Newt who have taken up residence in/around our pond
I'm also a very tired Dove - it's been serious work in the garden today, digging more manure into the veg patch, putting up bean canes and sowing runner beans.
I've also been sowing seeds, potting on and taking cuttings.
A supper of chicken and asparagus risotto and a glass of Sauv. blanc has been taken and Dove is
