Good morning all.Woke up to the terrible news of Robin Williams, he really made me laugh, and Dead Poets Society and Good Will Hunting were such great films. It is sad how many of the great comics are troubled souls.

Sunny here again, but full of cold, so another lazy day I suspect.

OL, I too am getting very twitchy about new season, away to Wet Spam, one of our many mortal enemies. I cant believe how stressed I get about it at my age. When younger I could not go out on a Saturday when we lost; I spent a lot of nights in!

Good luck to the workers and  swift cures to the poorly.

Good morning everyone. Sounds as if the change in the air is bringing out the germs. Hope everyone feels better soon.  Wind has died down but a huge mess in the garden  and today rain is forecast all day! Made an apple cake yesterday. turned out nice. Do you think I can freeze it?

  • Good morning all - lovely here but showers forcast for tomorrow and rest of the week. Discovered another GW member is in France not a million miles away - we are taking over - good excuse for a GW  Forkers jolly for some I think. image

OH and son off to UK tomorrow so get to have the computer all to myself, yippee. Guests arriving today though so hope they don't cause too much of a distraction and want looking after and stuff - just kiddin. image

Going to get going with all my seeds in the greenhouse this week, get all excited ordering and receiving seeds but bit slow to put them to work, very remiss!

Anyway, Bonne journée to you all work or play - or sick bed, catch up with all the gossip later.

  • Morning, Forkers.....was going to start a thread about this, then thought 'maybe not' on a gardening forum. So I hope you don't mind me using 'Forkers'  to express my sadness at the news that Robin Williams is dead.....not only dead, but seemingly taken his own life due to depression.

Maybe not to everyone's taste, but he was one of the few people who could induce me into real belly laughs.

    RIP, Robin...thanks for the laughs.

Morning everyone.....I won't say good because it isn't, as some of you have already alluded to. So very sad waking up at 6.30 to the news about Robin Williams, such a funny man and so sad that he must have been in such a dark place for so long. I know it's not a classic or very intellectual in the grand scheme of things, but Mrs Doubtfire is one of my favourite films.......not to mention Dead Poets Society.  What a sad loss image

David....there is nothing wrong with starting a thread in the Potting Shed....that's what it's for, if people don't like it then they shouldn't read it!!
