KEF - Don't get rid of the fishing reel stuff.  It is really strong and can keep a Christmas tree from falling on you if you attach the tree to a ceiling hook. Just ask my Dadimage

  • Hello all

Well spent the day moving pallets - as last night next door neighbour down the joint drive way started walking up and down F**** and blinding out there bashing things

I looked out back window upstairs he was staring in the garden then turned around saw me and he started shouting at me with  F***** words loudly, dad went out as he heard shouting and he was having a right moan shouting and moaning about me having the pallets in the drive and that seeing the pallets when he goes in the kitchen for his tea in the morning is pissing him off even though he does have blinds on the window

They were all on our side of the drive, all he had to do was ask nicely for them to be moved and not go the way he did about it

Then started about our tree in the garden

Really stressful - think he has turned into a neighbour from hell

Aww Gg - don't get too stressed.  Just tell him that if there is a problem you can resolve it.  If he continues get onto the Council to find out your rights.  We all want to live in harmony with our neighbours but doesn't always work out. ((hugs))

  • Gg, sorry to hear about your bothersome friend. You can always come over here for a cup of tea and peace and quiet.

  • Me scared to go that way in the drive feel like I want him to be out and when you walk to go down the garden you have to go past the drive not a private area need to have a gate - he has only lived there a few years and does not do gardening other than using a hedge trimmer over all the plants

I like going in the garden and won't stop me going that way - really need to sort out building my cold frame this week and was going to use a bit of the drive way now not so sure

Normally we are fine with the neighbours just keep the peace

Thanks Lesley and Thanks Woody may well do that sometime is peaceful there

Monkey puzzle glad I don't have one of those if you did it would have to be in a pot as if not you could be stuck with it in your garden as you are not allowed to remove them

  • RB think pampas grass still means swingers live there,  as my boys often refer about a certain couple with it in their garden. I didn't know thats what it meant until they told me......not that long ago lol!!

Hope your feeling better Pdoc, best wishes and hugs.

  • That's really hard luck, Gg.  Others are right I think, try to keep your cool and be polite, and maybe your neighbour will get out of bed the right side tomorrow and apologise to you...  Don't let him intimidate you so you don't feel as if you can be on your drive any more.  He has no right to make you miserable!  (Hugs.)

Thanks folks for kind words and thoughts about my moggie.  She is now in a quiet spot in the garden where I can go and chat to her from time to time.  Her sister has started eating again so things are looking up.  image

OH has gone to bed so I'd better hop it...  Night night all!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
