    Morning all.

I have a water meter but my bills are the same as Verdun's. Must be because of watering the garden.

Verdun said "Convolvulus maritima will take over down here.....climate, soil and aspect allow that ...but perhaps elsewhere this beautiful plant will die kerria is another mistake for me.  Invasive becoming more so over time"

Cornwall and Dordogne must have very different growing conditions. I have lost 2 Convolvulus maritime and my Kerria is very well behaved, has taken years to grow to a reasonable size. I can't grow acid loving plants or moisture loving plants or anything at all tender in winter or anything that doesn't like heat in summer.

Must go and clean the place up and put up some decorations.

Wish I was coming to see White Christmas with you Beausimage  We went to see it years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Housework and redecorating the tree for me today as I'm not happy with the lightsimage

Looking forward to gingerbread men later DDimage

Like your idea of de-cluttering KEFimage  Every time I go to Mum and Dad's he spends the morning I am leaving searching for things to fill up my boot.  Last time he even tried to give me a broken bedside lampimage

Well I'd better get cracking.  See you later.

  • Re Christmas Emoticons - Daniel has said he's sorry but he's been told they're not possible this year image  He has tried charm and persuasion etc, but apparently none of the sites serviced by the Tech Team are getting them this year - not even the Radio Times!!!  We're all in this together!!! image

Our water rate would be double what I said before if we had mqins drainage. You wouldnt beleive how tight I am with the water though,   I have been known quite a few times to use rain water in the washing machine. All the water thats drained off from the hot tap until hot runs through is saved.

Haven't done HW after all. Have finished my Christmas cards to French people. They think I'm very early as they don't often do them for Christmas, they are more likely to send them for New Year, if at all. Took them to the Post Office, took the bin bags to the big bin, saw the pizza man was open so we had pizza for lunch. Been wrapping presents this afternoon.

Only 4 days before the evenings start getting lighter! Is your OH busy with Christmas stuff, punkdoc? Does she ask you to help?

Looking forward to "The Apprentice" tonight.

  • Going to our first Horticultural Society Christmas dinner tonight. About 35 of us, but should have been more. It hasn't grabbed the attention as we hoped it would, but never mind. Jury out on repeating it.

4 courses, drinks included, free raffle and live music. All for £35. I know I shall have no problem enjoying myself.image hic....
