Glad you two don't have to get up early for a duel RB and Panda - it's good to shareimage

Our garden rubbish is being picked up today image.  It will be full again by tonight and then we have to wait another four weeksimage

The sun is just starting to peep out so I may venture out soon - fed up of shoppingimage

Lovely sunny day here, just hung washing as well although I only put my little drying stand out on the patio, no ugly washing lines for my beautiful garden image

Went out earlier to do some stuff, got one clematis in the ground going up my third pergola post and had a mare of a time trying to untangle the stems and leaves to train it only to realise that I cant find my tree ties so I had the brilliant idea of using pegs image worked a treat!

Just one post left to plant up but that's a bigger job since I need to extend the border a wee bit and get an iris in there too, so will wait until another day image

Still got landscaping to do, need to planting about 20 odd plants in the ground and get my terracotta pots planted up. A fair amount of mulching left and still need to spread a ton of stone chippings over the thin patches on the paths but all that can wait...really low on energy today so OH has convinced me to have a rest day.image

Hostas showing through at last, except the Patriot in one of my two hosta beds, its times like this that we anxiously await the return of old friendsimage

Quite fancy Cornwall bekkieimage.  The general waste goes fortnightly but they assume, not without reason, that nobody bothers much with their gardensimage.

Lesley, this is only the second garden bin round this year, we have our general stuff emptied weekly, but in all fairness, it not often full image

Stop moaning you lot, my green bin fell in the wagon at the end of last season, apparently.  They have been promising since to deliver a new one, no sign yet.  You can imagine how much green waste is building up.  Hubby has been to the tip three times but there is still loads.  When I have a bin it's collected every 2 weeks with weekly collections of ordinary waste.  Sunny here in Worcester but for some reason I'm still cold.

Bekkie the smoke house is a training aid we use for both school children AND fire service recruits to show you in realistic conditions how to escape from a burning building (or in the case of the fire service what you're going to running IN TOO). We were at an event celebrating the 999 services so took it out to stretch its legs. Fortunately I know my way around it blindfolded to the smoke conditions doesn't bother me.

After weeks wondering and searching for our fishes we decided they'd all been taken by the heron. So today I took a trip out to pick up some replacements (my partner requested albino grass carp) ... guess who greeted us upon our return! Four goldfish acting like they'd been there all along. I hope they all get along.,.

I also came back with a scirpus cernuus plant to add evergreen colour to the pond and I've plans for a few more when wallet allows to create a floating island and help with shading the pond in the summer. How come I'm never inspired by a trip to the supermarket?

Having learnt about carnivorous plants being grown in the UK outside in summer months I'm tempted to give it a go in a large pot I can move inside as required. Does anyone have any experience?
