Morning all. Misty and only 7° here. I expect I'll be back in the veggie garden this afternoon.

    Morning all.

Sunny here at the moment and quite warm.

I like Monty Don too Pat, saw him just before Christmas great show.  Don't like Carol Klein, she knows her stuff but just can't watch her for too long.

Coffee will do nicely Dove, many thanksimage

We picked blackberries yesterday......have a nice little patch at the bottom of our garden. Made blackberry eton mess last night,  yummy!

Going to a GC later, then hopefully late lunch at our favourite tapas bar.

Off for a mooch, TTFN x

Pat, here is a past thread about Monty Don and other TV presenters. Thought it might interest you. There have been quite a few over the past few years. http://www.gardenersworld.com/forum/talkback/presenter/587500.html

Hmm! Carol.   I like her segment well enough, but I'm not really into cottage garden style - too dangerous because of snakes lurking at ankle height.  She gets very enthusiastic, doesn't she.   I used to like Alyss ( forget how to spell her name). I liked her quirkiness.  In an earlier series. image

Ho Dove can I have a coffee two sugars please : )
  • I can't see what there is to hate about Monty either.  Everyone likes different things but I can't see what there is to generate a strong enough dislike to "hate".  I like Carol too. I'm generally not one for over the top gushing but with her its so genuine and relaxed I don't mind it at all.

Whilst we're  on taboo forum topics, I stepped in cat poo in my front garden yesterday. Grrrrrr.  Had to try to hop whilst carrying a baby and being pulled about by a preschooler so as not to spread it. Grrrrrrr.  Was brought up with cats and would consider myself a fan but starting to change my viewimage

Morning Snoodle image  the problem is always other people's cats - those you own (or who own you) are always lovely and quite bearable, whatever they do image  By the way, we must organise a get together - I have some plants here for you and we're going away mid Sept - don't want to leave them to get crisp in the heatwave we've booked for that week image
