Hi Pat - hope you have a nice peaceful day today after all your entertaining
Panda - it's no problem. I still have cash to collect from the girl who was meant to be coming with me - her family had donated - so I can add it to that tally. I just have to do another form. I didn't want to hang onto the cheques any longer as I'd had some for over two weeks.
Jo - you must be feeling lousy if it's a drag to even make toast.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
It's going well Runny it's a Christmas temp job at HMV, he did it last year, and they asked him back again He has been a bit tired, it has been stopping him from napping in the afternoon
I came up with a brig idea this morning. We're taking them out for a long drive this morning. Hubby needs to put the bushfire "do not light this time of year" signs up all over the district so I suggested taking our vehicle instead of the fire brigade one and all four of us can go together. Last year it took Hubby and I four hours to do the whole district, so we might be well occupied today.
Sid, Gareth and Will sound just the ticket, Jo. I sort of envy you, but we stopped HRH sleeping on the bed because I was waking up with leg cramps every morning. She isn't as soft and cuddly as a cat - a bit boney.
Well 5 hours later we're back and I'm bu....g..d. Cup of tea might help. We went to Nimitabel, Dalgety, Jindabyne, Berridale, Cooma and then home. Also visited an old cemetery which is rather special. There is still some snow on the peaks which brought some oohs and aarhs, then the new wind farm with huge windmills, and various examples of wildlife to be avoided on the road such as an echidna, a kookaburra with a suicide wish, dead wombats and kangaroos that others hadn't avoided, etc.
