    Evening everyone.

Getting ready for another scorcher and unfortunately I have to go to town today (my regular Dr checkup), so I'll have to forego the air con for a couple of hours. I'm just about giving up in the veggie plot. Between parrots demolishing my climbing beans, cabbage white butterfly, chard running to seed, kale getting tough, broad beans making pods without good seeds, etc, etc - oh and the constant need to go out in the heat and change soaker hoses. I'll just have to buy fruit and veg from shops.image

  • Hazel, that's what we've been doing too. It did start with a few a week, but now we are up to date. Really enjoying it,  hopefully there will be another series. I'm sure they could pad it out some what.

    When does Poldark return? image

Pat, know how you feel. Go through that in France when it's in the 30s and deer have been demolishing the runner beans! At least with deer you can put a high fence around, which OH did.

Well done Hazel's OH, I hope it's safe now.

Having Lemsip, nose is bunged up again. How long do colds last? 10 days now and we are off to Norfolk on Tuesday to sort out few things the cottage. Hope the flight is OK, gusts of wind forecast here.

    Still tipping with rain.

Don't think the Poldark date has been released, think they are filming from September 2015 to April 2016.

They are now saying the fires in WA will get bad again next week. It's like your floods over there - it seems to keep on coming back. 143 houses lost.

Back from dr. I've been put on anti depressants (had a problem 2 years ago and this medication helped that time).  We'll see.   I wonder if it's related to our upcoming visit from daughters husband?  image
