Great news chicky - you'll be relieved to have him home and can get some normality. I'd say 'we'll kick him into touch ' (see I can do rugby references ) to keep him in his place, but that's maybe not the best solution...
You can get a bit of bulb planting while he's asleep, to keep you sane
Love the pic!
I've got soup going and I'm shredding paperwork
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Very pleased to hear Mr Chicky's home. I'm sure he's being well looked after - that includes the nagging. Love the mini pumpkin.
Glad you're back on the coffee jo. Nuisance about the cold frame though and I hope your plants have survived.
Fairy if there's any of that soup left for our lunch I'll happily take it off your hands and Rb the same offer goes to you for the shepherds pie. I could have a very relaxing day if that comes off. I've been painting marzipan fruits for Christmas presents. Don't boo hiss me - I have to be organised early to make deliveries
Chicky might recognise the bottom of the heated propagator being put to winter use.
They're lovely Lesley. Just don't get distracted and switch it on....
Soup's ready and just ticking over. Chicken carcass for stock (with a little extra added courtesy of Mr Knorr and his 'pots' ) with onions, carrots, sweet potato , some spices - blended - and the little bits of chicken stripped from carcass added.
Have you had some toast jo?

Thank you chicky and Fairy. I've been doing them for years for my Aunties and Dad and wouldn't be forgiven if they failed to materialise. I just pile them into mini wicker baskets.
That soup sounds delicious Fairy. It's still raining here.
I've really enjoyed everyone's posts, but am too sleepy to answer in detail, dinner tonight was a favourite recipe of chicken with evaporated milk, noodles, chives, winter greens and lemon rind. Gobbled up by all with load exclamations of what a good cook Hubby is. ( I have to agree). I'm a bit spoiled at the moment.
Glad that some are getting better but sorry to hear about Verdun's niece catching an infection. What bad luck, it's bad enough having a very sore throat without that extra complication.
I'm glad you liked the photos. The predicted rain, once again, didn't eventuate so it was a nice day.
ill try to read back again in my morning when I'm feeling more alert. Good night all.

Lesley - they are AMAZING
. Love the authenticity of the black spots on the bananas .....you've obviously been studying a fruit bowl like mine
Glad to hear Jo is back on the coffee again ...always a good sign that the lurgy is retreating

I was chatting to the nice young man who runs the locksmiths / security shop yesterday when he was servicing Burglar Alarm.
He was saying he needs someone to work in shop when he's out on call.
OH has just been in to see him and has been given the job until he goes back up country.
Hurrah Hosta - that's very handy!
My bananas rarely get to that stage chicky - probably just as well or I'd be constantly making banana cake and stuffing my face with it
Rain's been going on and off here too Lesley, but it's more settled looking now
Might have to shift my **** and do something
I've shredded loads of paperwork, and I'm cleaning and waxing my boots though - does that count as being busy?
