Gadengirl. Yes I got 10 large pots for my new tulips. Intended to plant them this afternoon but afraid I nodded off after lunch, so manana will have to do ... also bought 2 very nice terracotta pans, half price, which I will plant up with cyclamen for my front door/porch.
I've been up since 4.30 frying 5lbs of onions - I woke in the night and remembered I'd not done them and we need them for the mini hot dogs we're all having for lunch - can't ruin my reputaton for perfection on my last day and couldn't get back to sleep anyway, so 5 lbs of onions have been sliced and fried
We had the first frost of the year last night, roofs and lawns are really white and glittering - it looks beautiful. OH will be setting off to work on his bike in half an hour - I think it will be beautiful watching as the sun comes up - Hefty will be hibernating soon - at least he's hefty enough
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Good luck for tomorrow Dove, hope you have a good last day.
Have a great last day Dove
Verd, you mentioned somewhere you were cutting the leaves off your helibores - should we all be doing this now?
Gg, sorry to see the dreaded weevil
Have to treat all my pots next time, poor lo - fireworks scare me a bit the big bangs.
Thanks Dove I really like lamium have planted some in the front garden as well - so many different ones you can get.
How far down do I need to cut back my leaves? Do I go right down to the bottom or just the leaf? (Dumb question from a beginner!!
)
Ooo. Ok. Always feel mean chopping at them but if you say so Verd I'll give it a go
