We've been to town to arrange the printing of the Carol Service booklets, get some gas, printer ink and fruit and veg. But before we went I let the horses into the winter paddock, which they found very exciting, even 27 yr old Archie galloped about.
Was -4° and frosty again this morning.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Fairy: I've no where to put a drier until some rewiring and decorating is done, although with all this wet weather I'm tempted to buy the drier and keep it in the back of my little truck until space is made: I can run an extension cable from the garage! Is that desperate?
One parcel delivered. Six outstanding.
I might go and dig out the Christmas cards. I think I've some from a few years ago when I last tried to be organised and send some!
Very impressive Rb. Just think how many new plants you'll be able to buy with your savings.
Well done Lizzie. You wouldn't have wanted to be outside here because it's still tippling down and getting colder. Funny how excited horses get when they have a change of scene.
Hope the rest of the parcels get there today Clari.
I really should make a start on the Christmas cards too. You're ahead of the game Dove
RB - you'll have to start wearing tin foil on your head like those mad Americans who think it keeps the aliens away!
That was a load of good results you had - brilliant! Perhaps you need a clear out of stuff on the pooter - might be running slow etc. I sound like I know what I'm talking about there....
I know what you mean about no room Clari - this house is the smallest I've lived in for fifteen years and it annoys me constantly. I put up with the drier sitting in the kitchen fro now - it'll eventually have a place if/when I get this extension built. I keep all the bird food on top of it though!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Fairy, you were getting pats on the back for waving the wand and arranging good weather.... sadly, when it threw it down yesterday I took back my thanks
Glad you got back OK Panda. Good luck at the bingo tonight. Sorry Fairy let you down with the weather. I haven't got a wand. It's changed from rain/sleet to full-blown snow in the last hour or so and it's an inch or so thick on top of the soggy ground.
Yes Rb, we should all complain more when we are treated with disdain by these companies.
Been to the hairdressers today and it looks OK for now - but once I've been to bed it will be a different story.

I'm writing the Christmas cards
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Sweet dreams Pat!

Have been outside weeding and planting violas and primroses.
Well done RB!

Evening all
I'm back
And off out to bingo tonight

Sorry Panda
It's pretty vile now - and back down to a couple of degrees. The joys of the Scottish weather...
