HaHa & Titter Joe.?" Never 2 cold with my rottie around" plus my Tazzer & Pepper spray (which Gendemeries told me 2 get after being followed home one afternoon, few years back) .
Since then, i became a close protection officer but ty for the offer....
We had our evening meal outside in a thunderstorm. OH has roofed the place we sit on the terrace. But the wind did get a bit scarey and tried to blow our wineglasses away.
I saw that link to Monty Don talking about English gardeners. I think a lot of the reason why the English are the best gardeners is because the English weather is right for gardens. Here in SW France heat, drought and extreme winter cold and wet make gardening very difficult.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
It doesn't matter where you live really, there are always going to be moans and groans (just get me started - not one dahlia open yet but loads of buds) Your change of temps are a challenge but you've got your beautiful garden to show what can be done.
Sorry, missed last Dove...I get Verduns point 100% BUT tends to lead to a lot of Idiots, with nothing to do with the situation, jumping in. Its a hard one, depending on the sit!
