they're just weird Lily. And not in a good way.
BTW, Being Scottish , I just call them pancakes.
LOL
Oops I mean re being weird, not scottish
lol. Weird is good, Scottish is clearly MUCH better.
AYE!
As far as the jam/cream thing is concerned, I think there's a war about it across the Tamar.
This discussion has made my head spin - but...
Scotch Pancakes for me - straight from the griddle - so warm - with golden syrup or raspberry jam on top. Happy memories
The thought of Hosta in just his sporran has made me go all lightheaded - need to go and sit down with a cuppa now
Crunchies from the southern hemisphere: porridge oats, flour, desiccated coconut, marge, sugar and golden syrup all mixed together and tamped down into flat tins, baked in slow oven and cut into squares when cool. Anyone recognise them?
Had to go out - my brain was hurting
Jam first - but I don't really like the jam and cream thing on a scone - prefer real butter and jam
Fruit or plain? Fruit for me every time
Are you all giddy Topbird?
