  • Hmmm - lots of noises going on across on the hill across the way - sounds like scaffold poles being unloaded, squeaky wheelbarrows etc - someone must be having some building work done ... I've looked but there's a tall hedge in the way - all I can see is the flashing light of a lorry image

I still haven't planted out all  the ones that have been in pots for two years though image  .........

Neither have I - three pots of species tulips - the free ones from Wyevale about 3 years ago - I will find a place for them this autumn ......... won't I?

Yes Dove - you will. Positive thinking is all that's required. Well, that and some time...and compost...and a trowel...and...and....and an assistant! image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • And I'll have to wait until the ash tree has been felled and a new bed created .......

    Morning all

I really want to plant bulbs today as a treat for all this hard labouring at home

I should also get to the gym but I'm feeling like I did 8 hrs yesterday image

So much to do in the house since decorating the dining room a few yrs back got put on hold when my husband came down with C.F.S. It literally stayed in a prep condition through several Christmases and dinner parties, nothing done anywhere else either so the whole place is a bit shabby. OH still can't manage much so I'm taking the load for the first time in our marriage, the upside is that I get to shop, so it's not all bad image

    Have a great day everyone

    Morning peepsimage

I am a fully paid up member of the "still got bulbs to plant" clubimage.  I saved the ones from last years pots, and was going to plant them in the veg garden (OH not impressed, but I am trying to persuade him they are a crop, since I will be cutting any that manage to produce a flowerimage)

Wsong - you sound like you are on a decorating marathon......but hopefully nearing the finish line.  Remember that age old DIY refrain .....It'll be lovely when its finishedimageimageimage

I still have bulbs to plant, no tubs done at all yet. Looked in J.Parkers, they practically sold old of everything, just got some mini ones, very cheap.

Fogs lifted and now heavy rain, so it's cake making here too.

I have the last two courgettes for one cake, and there's a slightly dried up lemon for a drizzle cake.

Rug making and film on to later I think, watched Downton last night On Demand, what a fantastic facility that is, no adverts to wind on. We wait for everything now and record On Demand.

    Morning all.

    Dreich here .

I too have bulbs to plant. Well, technically OH has bulbs to plant as he bought them.

Will drag this sack of useless old bones up to the tunnel and get something done today and do something productive.

    No news re van image

Sorted out the vhs - dvd copying. I had to leave the tape running for its full 3hour duration despite there being only 17.46 of material on it. Hey ho, he's a good friend so it was worth it.

  • Morning all,

Have been up and about for ages but was busy doing errands - with OH - very romantic going and paying the heating engineer's bill together.image We did stop in a little cafe for a coffee though.image

Yesterday, in the same cafe I went to pay my bill, all of 1,20€ and the lady didn't have change of a 20€ note, I counted out all the loose money I had on the counter and only got up to 50 centimes, she was very kind and waved me off paying so I felt obliged to go back and settle my debts today. I was so embarrassed, I am sure the people in the queue behind me thought I didn't have enough money. image

Chicky, my concerns are also taken as nagging, I see it as a sign he is feeling better, so all good really. image

Lyn - is On Demand a Sky thingy, we watch stuff on ITV catch up but still get the adverts?

Punkdoc, my OH has a philosophy (which I am not convinced he actually puts into practice) of doing the worst job of the day first - so it is out of the way and after that everything else is a bonus.Perhaps that might help. image

On that note I need to get my Lesson Plans written for tomorrow. Have a good day all, hope Ma is on form Dove and the move goes well for Liri's mum too.  image

Staring at bag of bulbs, which have now migrated to kitchen table. Raining , so may put it off a bit longer.
