Morning all, hope that all poorly forkers are feeling abit better today, but if not then snuggle back down and take it easy!
A very nippy but bright start here today. On our agenda today we have the dreaded food shop( oh how I dislike shopping!), then the continuing task of sorting/tidying up my Dad's garage, which entails a car full of rubbish being taken to the recycling centre.
Have a good day.
Have fun up in the big smoke Dove and have a lovely walk Fairy......looking forward to seeing your brilliant pics later!
Morning everyone. Minus 3 here in rural france, a shock to wake up to the white stuff today after near two weeks of rain. Birdbath and pond frozen solid. Hope everyone who has been ill, are getting better. Enjoy your walk today fairy, local shop (in car) 7km away is as far as I will get later as my rottie has had her second leg operated on and is feeling sorry for herself so a wee bone is in order for her and her sister. Hope dove and partner have a great day, chicky yes I think a chilled out day with plant mags sounds a good plan. Hi to everyone and to everyone still to come, keep warm and have a lovely day whatever your doing
Feeling a bit better to-day again. ( Hope you are too Pat and Wonky) Voice slowly returning and we're down to fine grade glass paper at the back of the throat.
I added up this morning that I've had a total of 10, yes ten hours sleep in the last 3 days.
Last night I had none at all. Down in lobby bar drinking tea at 2 am listening to the "Russians" Squabbling. It's a familiar pattern . Security mass around the bar at midnight. Free alcohol stops at 2 followed by lots of Russians shouting at the poor barman because they have to pay, then usually quiet by about 2.45( at which time they're all shouting at each other as they stagger along the room corridors waking everyone else up as they go.
Went back to bed at 3 but didn't sleep so came down for early breakfast at 6 , to find out it doesn't open until 6.30. Had an hours sleep when I went back to room.
Honey and lemon now and about to compose a snotty email to holiday company.
Sorry to hear about the snow and cold weather, but just think of all the bugs and slugs which will suffer more than we humans.
You all sent such lovely get well wishes, thank you its beginning to work! Been off work all week, been to the doctors twice. Dove has been keeping me posted on any escapades! Sorry I've been AWOL, hurt to open eyes

Hi there Hosta and Wonky, so glad to hear that you are both feeling abit brighter today. I will keep my fingers crossed that your recovery will be a speedy one, you have both been through the mill . Hugs to you both xx
Pat , I'm also sending you my best wishes for a quick recovery, it must be horrid for you feeling so poorly in such heat, hugs to you too x
Hi Wonky, you seem much more cheerful this morning. Hosta, I really think you would have been better staying at home, sounds more like a nightmare than a holiday.
Cold, bright and frosty this morning. Have checked the greenhouse and the heater seems to be doing its job.
Secondborn and partner have gone out for the day with his parents, who are down from the lake district and hubby has gone to the gym so I have the house to myself for a few hours.
Fire is laid ready for this evening, so I'm snuggling down for a quiet, warm, relaxing day.
Have to brave the outdoors to buy bird food and drop some items at the charity shop, then more decorating
The smart meter didn't happen after I read the item below, postponed until later in the year. I think it was LilyP who asked if it was an English thing, no it is for all UK, to be done by 2020
