As Clari says glorious here, 16C on thermometer o/s in sun, have had my socks off !! Strange as weather thing at top of forum is still showing cloud and rain for today.
Obviously back from GC only bought some 2nd early spuds Charlotte & some feed.
Had my eye on another, forgot my paper & pen, well I am 27, but not opened up. and want to see it. Shall return another day. Lovely dark purple. Also batteries conked on camera...so didn't snap it.
I have sowed the sweet peas, and the onions, and potted on a few things that were overwintering in the greenhouse. They are currently getting watered in because its tiddling it down.
I found a bee, and a hoverfly, there is a daisy flowering on the lawn, and the first dandelion out. It certainly feels like Spring here.
Earthquake of 4 not bad. I was standing on a pier in San Fransisco in 1984 when they had an earthquake. Very weird, because you could see it move, as all the piers shook in turn. As they were expecting aftershocks, and they are on the main San andreas fault, We left the morning afterwards, avoiding the bay bridge. (it collapsed in a later earthquake. sometimes you have to trust gut feelings)
Wise move Fidget. I've only encountered one earthquake that was on Greek isle of Kefalonia, we were all told to go and stand on the beach. Maybe not the best advice but it was years ago. All the chairs and tables shook in the taverna and glasses falling all over.
There was a mini earthquake in S.Yorks this time 6/7 yrs ago but we were away. OH was worried sick about our house. I thought can't do anything about it so had another drink, it was my birthday
There was an earthquake in Norfolk/south Lincs/Cambs a few, maybe 8 years ago - we woke up and the house was shaking - neighbours rushed out into the street and there was a lot of excited shouting (we lived in student-land). We waited until the shaking stopped then went back to sleep.
And in 1993 there was an earthquake that affected Norwich - I was working early in the upper painting studios at Norwich School of Art - the huge sash windows rattled for and cans and jars of turps fell off the shelves - I wondered what on it was - later that day my daughter phoned me as she'd heard a news broadcast which said there'd been an earthquake in Norwich.
