I had some sundrops  last year, expected them to die overwinter. When you came, they were behind the forgetmenots and oriental poppies. They are flowering well now. I'll take a photo tomorrow.

Its still light up in far North Scotland. OH has been playing on the sand dunes, watching seals

    Time for bed for me.image

Still evening primroses, but they don't form the big rosette and stout stem like the usual one. The stems tend to be a bit lax and need support.

I think the one I wanted was Oenothera biennis, a biennial rosette former.

What I got was  oenothera versicolor. They open in the morning and change colour by evening.

I also had a very red one in a mixed packet.

OL, in my experience Babybrain lasts until the confusion of being parent of teens takes over - if you're lucky you might get a brief window of normality before menopause brain takes over - however I used 7 years of my 40s  to be an art student - brilliant excuse 'Oh, she's a student' image image

Morning all image  And another lovely one it is tooimage

Car is now loaded with plants for flooded gardens - meeting up with someone from Somerset in Waitrose carpark on my way to work to send them on their way.

Survived the treetops !! Wasn't too bad at all - my freaking out last time was obviously parental anxiety rather than fear of heights - even quite enjoyed the tarzan swings and zipwiresimage

Fergus Garratt was inspirational - a really warm and funny speaker - and his photos of the Great Dixter borders through the seasons were gorgeous.  Really clever the way they get the wild untamed look, and yet it is all so meticulously planned.  And the work they are doing training young gardeners is really a fitting legacy to Christopher Lloyd.  Great evening.imageimage

Last science GCSE for littlest Chicklet this morning ..... And then different sort of parental anxiety will be over for another year image
