I see Ginger is off to see Quidam by cirque du soleil. I saw this in London. If you think they are good on telly, they are brilliant in the flesh. We've seen a couple in London, and two in Nottingham and they are brilliant. You think " no, they cant possibly do that".. and then they do.

Hello all. We are back in France. Just as cold here as in Norfolk. But the cottage is warmer than this house because it's smaller and has low ceilings and efficient gas heating.

I hope Dove and Topbird have had good days out.

    Hello Ginger.

I still have a cold, the one that started on 1st Jan., much better, but coughing.

Evening all- back from my travels. It's slightly snowy...everywhere!  image

It was minus 5 when I left the house but the sky got grey very quickly. Had to turn back before the summit - the snow started earlier than forecast and I was more concerned about the amount falling on the tiny road through Glen Lyon for the journey home. Glad I stopped early - the road wasn't too clever!

Not many pix - but I took this one for BL - just at the side of the road on the way home. A little snowy view of the Dochart Falls -

Lochs Tay and Lomond had snow right down to the water - very Scandinavian image

We have about four or five inches here too - looks lovely but the roads are terrible image

I'll have a quick look to see what you've all been up to while I get something to eat. Not had anything except a banana since I left the house image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Morning all. Gosh, but you've all been a bit quiet.

Actually had 7hours sleep last night so feeling vaguely human.Last day of antibiotics yesterday and still on cough mixture but the throat is much better. Not sore to swallow now and the ears still pop a bit during nose blowing, but certainly on the mend.

Down at breakfast at 6.30, which is more than the chefs were.

Almost 2 more weeks here KEF. We're doing our best to avoid the "Russians" ( in reality members of the former soviet union, but too hard to tell one from the other)

Massive row in corridor at 2 am when one couldn't get into his room and he and his wife screamed at each other for a while on either side of the door. Just what you want eh?

We've just marked out our sunbeds for to-day which is forecast to be 27C then cooling down over the last of our hols to 22- 24 so need to make the most of to-day.

    Keep warm and dry everyone.

    Devon.
