Evening all. Have arrived in Diss. Going to see our (hopefully) cottage tomorrow. Plane left an hour late but arrived with a fast and bumpy landing almost on time. No fog. But there was an accident on the A road on the way.
OH is asleep so managed to prize the iPad out of his hands!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Had my zzzzzzzzzz yesterday evening and then stayed awake for Autumnwatch and Unsprung
I love Bruges - have had some lovely visits there in the past, especially during Advent - it really feels very Christmassy then - and Bruges is a very civilised, if rather expensive place to do some Christmas shopping.
Chicky ((hugs)) glad OH is perking up
Panda from past experience those bright hair colours need refreshing every couple of washes - very high maintenance
Hope Ma KEF gets a new coat soon - I remember escorting my Ma on her last coat buying expedition probably about 8 years ago - I tried to persuade her that something 'less tailored and less fitted' would be the way to go but she bought what she wanted as she always did - it's very complex trying to get her into it now
Which reminds me - this morning I shall be mostly visiting Ma
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Looks foggy again, or is it my eyes? Poor night as woken by something, ended up wandering around outside at 2am. No idea what I was planning to achieve.
Another day when I will probably fail to plant any bulbs, I wonder what my excuse will be today.
Have got seedlings that need potting on, I am sure I could waste most of the day doing that.
Have a good day everyone.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Good morning lads if either of you is in the bulb-planting mood there are some tulip bulbs on my kitchen worktop that need to be planted amongst the wallflowers in my front garden ...................... I'm visiting Ma this morning, but plan to make a cake later

It's raining here too Verdun so I'll have to pursuade the dog that she won't melt if she gets wet. Pdoc he's right, you will feel better if you get the bulbs planted. Umm, wonder why I've still got some to plant.
Well done with the shopping expedition KEF. I' very familiar with the shopping trolley 'support' but at least my Mum has taken to using a stick now. Wheelchairs are obviously out of the question because it makes you 'look like an old lady'
Loved the photos of Bruge Steve and pleased to hear OH's son did so well.
Morning all. Dull and wet here - no idea what the weather's like though...
We had a yellow weather warning here because of the fog yesterday and last night. It seems to have shifted though and we have rain instead.
doc - I did my tulips the other day. Admittedly only one pot of them but I felt so much better knowing they weren't languishing in the shed getting damp and mouldy. I still haven't planted out all the ones that have been in pots for two years though
Glad Mr chicky is getting back to normal chicky
Glad you missed the fog and aren't too bruised from the landing BL. You'd be like Hosta then!
The autumn colours are gorgeous just now. There's a common old spirea I pass every day. The spires of foliage sticking up from behind the fence look like fireworks exploding.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
