Thanks for the kind words said about my mum and things to contemplate
Dove I hope your mum was having a happy day. Re; coats mum doesn't wear fitted any more due to curvature of her back and we try to get coats with hoods that are flattering ..however a Parka isn't quite mum as much as she liked them they'd fit below her knees
Lesley spot on with the walking stick
Liri I hope mum settles well tonight x
Today has been a wet dull and misty day 10C..this day last year was sunny and bright and we had a lovely walk. So tonight us KEF's are spending our anniversary snuggled up in the lounge with heating on and having a curry delivered Some episodes of Prime Suspect to watch ..how we celebrated 34 yrs !! we should have married in the summer
Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs KEF . Autumn weddings and anniversaries are the best - you don't expect much, but when the sun does shine its magic. In the summer you feel cheated if you don't get a fine day. Have a lovely evening snuggled in front of the fire (something else you can't do in June)
Thanks Lyn & Fairy - OH has now downloaded the rest of the Lewis episodes and Unforgotten, so spoilt for choice tonight.
Been to the dentist today and a good TV programme will help get over the shock of his quote for treatment I need - I have been putting it off, knew it was going to be expensive but doesn't take away the pain.
Verdun I hope niece is feeling a bit better, I do remember my 1st husband having it done and he suffered quite a bit - much to my dismay - he had a week off work and I had been hoping he would get some decorating done in the free time - never happened.
Hi Topbird, I had something really important to say to you but it has gone right out of my head now (sorry) , sure it was something very nice too.
OK, back to the grindstone, well preparation of dinner anyway - does anyone else just get fed up with trying to decide what to cook everyday? I'm doing a curry tonight, it's the best I could think of today.
Have a good evening all.

Hi everyone, Havent been around for a while as the past few weeks have been quite stressful. We had news that Secondborn was expecting her first baby (our third grandchild), unfortunately following her first scan and blood tests she was told that there was an exceptionally high risk of the baby being born with problems. She has now had further tests carried out in America that involved the baby's DNA being analysed and yesterday we had the good news that everything is OK. As you can imagine we are all very relieved and very excited at the prospect of a new baby in the spring.
Too much to read back so I hope everyone has been OK. I've been doing a bit in the garden to keep sane while waiting for the outcome of the tests but still have loads of bulbs to plant, mainly tulips so it shouldn't be a problems.
Hubby's had some good news re his eye, it appears that the retina has gone back in place this time and that following a six week or so recovery period his sight should improve. Fingers crossed.
Off for a browse around. It's secondborn's birthday today so we will be raising a glass later in a double celebrations (although she will be sticking to soft drinks).
Hope Mr. C is doing nicely and nagging shows you love him
DD hope your OH is being a better patient
Verdun me hopes you haven't run out of ice cream ..hugs to your niece.
Best get off now and decide what wonderful fodder to order..at least not many dishes for OH to wash ..got some lovely flowers to mask the smell of curry.
So pleased it has all worked out Yvie, but what a stressful time for all. Lovely that your Nana skills will soon be even more in demand. Had been wondering where you were - so welcome back.
