Gosh you lot have kept me occupied for the last hour reading. Too much to think back on, but hope Wonky's arms have lost their sting; am happy not to have midges but we do get mosquitoes sometimes in summer depending on wind direction and they adore Hubby. (Who could blame them). I'd not heard the yak about Vegemite and alcohol, but Hubby knew. It's a regular on the breakfast table, along with my quince jelly and crab apple jelly. Our visitors made inroads into my home made jams.
All your chat about going places for holidays - we never go anywhere. I think it's me rather than Hubby, but we always seem to be playing catchup with chores here, so it doesn't come up. We really love the changing seasons here.
We've got a friend with a caravan, which I am convinced he bought because his mates told him it was a good way to meet single women! (I can hardly stop myself laughing out loud). I can just imagine (not) some helpless woman managing a van on her own, on the lookout for a 79 year old male who thinks he is Adonis. He recently took his van all the way up to the Daintree (North Queensland) and there was no talk about how many helpless women he found. Enough now! Stop before you choke with laughter.
Ouch Wonky hope they are not too painful. Good luck at work to day - you'll be brill (and the same to Runny's son).
Back to work for me too - but only for a couple of days this week - i have weds and thurs off for holiday things and more exam results.
Did a tour of GCs yesterday and came home with a white mophead hydrangea - i have blue, pink and red ones that are doing well, and the deer are giving them a wide berth, so decided to extend the pallet. They are in different beds - one with imported topsoil, hence the pink - we are pretty acid here.
Love the House martins Chicky! Happy hour is a classic! Favorite is beautiful south, let love speak up itself.....gorgeous song! Have a lovely day Chicky!
