Good morrow, one and all.  The day dawns bright and clear with wall to wall sunshine beginning.  Toe is all but healed and the prospect of a day spent gardening and/or walking beckons.  When herself wakes up.

Hope you all have a good day image

    Morning all.

DD, I hope you both enjoyed the evening - in your own different ways!

Lesley, that's a good idea, I hope they are good at paper scraping.

The grandchildren came into our bedroom this morning, jumped all over us and my morning coffee got tipped over the bedside table! Then granddaughter filmed us on OH's iPad. How come someone who is only 6 knows how an iPad works when someone who is 58 years older than her has problems with it? image

    Cheers, Runnybeak.

All the doors here are up.  (They don't all close properly, mind you).

The vile American habit hasn't spread here yet, I'm pleased to report.

Off for a day's gardening.  Give the grass (I won't dignify it with the title 'lawn') its last cut - and the first for a month (OH not keen atm).

    Morning all.

Bright yellow object in the sky.

Off for a walk around the Botanical gardens, then maybe pot up some bulbs, that have been waiting for several weeks.

    Have a lovely day.

    Morning allimage

Got all my daffs and alliums planted yesterday, today its the pots of tulips I will be tackling.  Made a slightly longer job by the fact that I have to empty out the summer annuals first.  I have gone for one of the Sarah Raven tulip collections this year.  i fancied a change from my normal combinations, and by the time I had worked out that it was not only colours I had to match up, but also heights and flowering times, I decided to pay the premium and have someone do that bit for meimage.

Felt good to be back in the garden again - my fingernails have now returned to their usual mucky state - they had started to look like a normal person's fingers image.

Mr Chicky is soldiering on, but very tired.  Baby steps, baby steps.

Hope the a&e dash sorted out problems for niece Verdun, and that the rest of her recovery is "uneventful" and speedy.

LilyP, I think we have all your fireworks, they've been going off for the last couple of nights, and to make matters worse they are ones that you can hear but not see image

DD, glad date night was a 'success' image

Chicky, Sarah Raven offered me a free tulip collection if I spent £15 on bulbs. . . . I decided it would be rude not to, even though I wasn't going to buy any more . . . image
