We are now in bed in village pub in Norfolk. Plane was delayed as there was a huge hailstorm and they had to de ice the wings. The drive to Bergerac airport was pretty scary because of the hail and the rain and wind.

Sorry to hear of poor Wonky's painful face.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hi everyone, Late posting today but I've been on Nanna Duty.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so awful Wonky, but like you I couldn't help but laugh at Runnys post.

Pat I'd stay out of that heat tomorrow if you are feeling a bit off the hooks.

Hope all other poorly peeps feel better soon.

Been having loads of catalogues appearing through the letterbox of late but so far have resisted.  Can't wait for things to dry up a bit so I can get outside.

Off to bed now, so night night.

    Good morning all image

Hope Wonky and all poorly peeps are feeling better today ((hugs)).

Yvie, I too am resisting catalogues at the moment - I still have seed to sow from last year image and until we've created the new bed and seen what the conditions are like on that side of the garden now that one of the ash trees has gone we won't really know what our options are - no point in just sticking to the same old same old, if we have the right conditions for something a bit more exciting image

For any of you gardening 'up north' in grim conditions, have a look at the video on the link I've posted on the Washingtonia robusta thread - one of the most heartwarming and cheering gardening videos I've seen in a very long time - and the soundtrack makes me think of Hosta and Pdoc image image

I hope wonky is feeling better this morning.

I woke up cold. Ive put the heating on early. No hubby to pinch heat from, he's away all week.

I must make an appointment for a dentist. Trouble is my good one died, and his replacement was dire. I spent two hours in the chair for a root canal filling, screamed the place down when he found a nerve he hadnt numbed, and came out with tears running down my face, to find a full waiting room staring at me in horror. I then got an abscess that kicked off while I was away in Australia. I ended up trawling the pharmacies for the strongest pain killers I could buy. Surprisingly, I haven't been back.
