Thank you Stacey. Any chance of sending some of your ace ice cream recipes? I like nuts, chocolate and caramel and OH likes fruit esp. raspberries. Please Just going to look up that book.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Well, Clarington, I go past that pub often when we go down to Trent Lock on the River Trent for a walk. I never thought of going in there for food.
Talking about food, Nigel Slater and a biscuit addict are on Beeb 4 talking about biscuits.
I picked up a big tin of shortbread in Tesco today, reduced to £2 post xmas.
All this talking about food is making me think I ought to open a tin and have some with hot chocolate.
I'm still here (almost in Long Eaton), while OH is still in Newcastle. MIL is getting no better but no worse, and so is bed blocking and they are hoping to bring her home if the oxygen supply can be sorted. The carers can cope as there are hoists and special bed already in place. OH is coming home tomorrow, as he has a course in Sheffield for Tue/wed/Thur/ , and then going back to Newcastle on Thursday night.
Right, the big food question tonight. What is your favourite biscuit and do you dunk?
Think i might have to find a biscuit for breakfast - no dunking here. A childhood of loose leaf tea and a none too efficient tea strainer has left me with a phobia of bits in the bottom of a cup. To this day i can never drain a tea cup, always have to leave a finger's worth in the bottom.
lovely way to start a working year - rain, winds, flooded roads and, no doubt, traffic chaos. Once more unto the breach dear friends ...

Kef, have you gone up the wooden hill to bedfordshire?

Hobnobs and yes, I dunk. Goodnight, bedtime.
Shortbread fingers, and yes I dunk.
Then there are Jammie Dodgers, Custard Creams and Rich Tea .... also yummy. Rich Tea with icing and sprinkles on can't be dunked but otherwise OK.
Hi fidget, best wishes to you and your MIL.
My fav biscuits to dunk are hobnobs, but I do love chocy biscuits too.
I used to like Barmouth biscuits, but you can't seem to get them now.

Morning all!
Weather seems calm here after the storm. Can't wait for the days I can see the garden before work!
