Hello all. You've been very chatty - thought you'd all be out gardening in this lovely weather
Short day today - up at Tyndrum/Bridge of Orchy Lesley. Could have done the next hill along as well, but decided to leave it for another day. The normal route back adds quite a bit on, or else you come back the same way with all the extra ascent, so I thought it best, but I realised on the way down that I could have done it differently - like the two people going up to the second one - I wondered where they'd gone Not the most thrilling hill, but on a day like today - the views are magic and it's why you do it. The fog on the way there was fierce, but fortunately it cleared at Crianlarich. I had a lovely jaunt and got some great pix, so I'm a happy bunny
RB - I even brought my boots in - and cleaned them!
Hope you got a nap this afternoon Verd. I think morale must be pretty low in a lot of hospitals. Common sense should prevail though.
Looks like lots of you have been bulb planting. I'm having a cuppa and a catch up here, then going to fit the new gate latch while it's still light.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I've found some bulbs I'd forgotten about and have no idea where to put them. Oh why does the grass have to grow its the only space I've left! I think they're tulips, although I'm not sure about the smaller ones: mouse ate the label!
10kg of red tractor chicken breast has been cut up for the dog; I hope he realises how lucky he is! I sometimes get very sad realising I put in more effort into what he eats than some parents do their children, thank goodness I don't need to worry about teenage pregnancies: you can have the offspring taken off to good homes and no one thinks any less of you!
Don't jinx the warmer weather Jo: I'll not be happy at two foot of snow in the morning! I've a school visiting that had to cancel last month as everyone had the chicken pox. I just hope they've all recovered!
Just waiting for his lordship to come home: he's busy helping his friend restore a vehicle and its becoming a full nut bolt and washer job!
I've attacked an overgrown laurel hedge (more like jungle really) and OH has done something similar with the bamboo that's been encroaching on the path.
Tea. No biscuits cos we're both trying to lose weight
Lovely smell of roast chicken coming from the kitchen, to be accompanied with a bottle of Pinot Noir. Weekends are great because OH cooks. I used to love cooking, but doing it every day makes it a bit of a chore.
New Attenborough series starts tonight, usually watch Homeland, so one will be recorded.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team

Right. Well. No further injuries this afternoon.

Tomorrow looks lovely too. Despite the, quite literal, Pain in the A** , I must get something done.
Hoping all fellow sufferers are on the mend and all those bulbs got planted.
Cape Verde 3 weeks tomorrow.
