Morning all - I see you're having our summer weather Dove! It starts at about 10 or 11 and gets to about 14. At least yesterday was a bit warmer at 16 or 17 - positively tropical
I'm off walking in a minute or three so I'll catch up with you all later. Lesley - I've a solution for your swollen foot - come with me today and they'll both be swollen so you won't notice
Sounds like a lovely evening GWRS. I had to re read your post - thought you'd had some kind of epiphany and seen JC in the cathedral...
Have a good day all
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thanks for that Fairy. How far are you going today?
Pat I love pea and ham soup so if there's any going spare (just to save you freezer space you understand) then I could find a home for it. Not really a summertime dish but then it's not really summertime here.
Wonder what's happened to your smiles Verdun as even mine are working this weekend.
Lesley, I'd love to share my soup with you but it wouldn't survive the trip.
Whenever our son comes for a visit, he very generously helps us by making lots of space in our freezer by taking it back to Canberra for his freezer. Since he comes down about every 2-3 weeks, what seems impossible in our freezer, suddenly seems like no problem at all. Aren't we lucky!
I have a large bacon hock lurking in my fridge - I'll be cooking it sometime this week - so versatile - bacon, carrots and broad beans with parsley sauce, bacon and leek soup, pea and ham soup ....... we can live off it for days and put some in the freezer as well.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Just had breakfast , going up to allottment , jeans instead of shorts plus jumper just been outside and it is bloming cold , sun trying to break though clouds
on a posative note the bird feeders are full of tits & sparows
Rained all night and quite breezy too. Feeling rather muzzy after not much sleep. Sun is shining now and the garden looks lovely after all that rain. Water butts are fuller too.
Off to see my little granddaughter for lots of cuddles. Got her a few clothes for next summer in the sales, she's got quite a wardrobe now

I think Verdun is trying to make us jealous, but it won't stop me finding a smiley face for him just to show - no hard feelings
Good morning all
