Visit to B&Q for paints and plants. I was returning three plants I bought last week that just weren't working for me but I hit a brick wall. ..oh no, we don't return plants
I felt like I had leprosy. The looks I got and after the amount of money I've spent at this store this year alone, let alone last year!
Alright, they're not an official GC but still, quick enough to take my money
Suffice to say I wasn't going to take no for an answer. ..and made a swap for 3 salvia guaranitica Black and Blue which suits me better.
I also indulged in a red banana which I'm over the moon with but as soon as I am driving, B&Q will cease to get my custom anymore
Don't think any garden centres near us would return plants either. Only time I'vd tried tho was when I'd bought an olive tree and noticed it had some sort of 'desease' about a week later. Very understanding and full refund.
Good day for paperwork - the garden is getting such a good soaking - I can almost hear it sighing with relief.
3 water butts were emptied & moved last week so the garage walls and soffits could be painted. Managed to put them back in place and link them together just as the rain started (about 5 hrs ago). Went to check how well they were filling about an hour ago - not very well - had forgotten to close the taps - silly moo
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Still pouring down and so dark we have the table lamps on
It's been trying to rain all morning in Kent

At least, on the day that I went.....
Now it's raining properly here in Norfolk - the really wet stuff - I can hear the water-butts filling up
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It's been raining here most of the day
My hydrangeas will be delighted
I might have been a bit remiss without the hose
