A member of my ex's family had a condition (Hughes Syndrome) and she too had strokes from her early 30s, very sad.
Verdun, you mentioned about your cousin being very emotional - one of the effects of a stroke is to send the emotions off-kilter (all those connections in the brain being affected), so that when the person is happy he may appear to be upset, and when he is sad he may smile - it's a difficult time, but if you understand that it may help ((hug)). It's usually something that rights itself in time.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Much cooler today and overcast but it looks like it will brighten later. Slept on the sofa in the conservatory until around 4 as it was cooler. Went for a stroll around the garden, the jasmine smelt beautiful and then went up to bed. Hope the neighbours weren't watching they will think I'm balmy.
Dentist today, not looking forward to it one bit. I've changed Dentist as the one I've had since I was 15 retired. Twelve years is a long time. Hope the new one is OK.
I don't beleeeeeeeeve it , this is the third attempt at posting!!
Hello
Phew - the heat, but at the moment it is welcome coolling rain, not the sort that soaks the ground though
Pippin has learnt to go up the stairs and down, u, down, up,down,up down..........Also she can manage to jump onto the settee. Means her legs are strengthening.
She is very energetic and 'busy' but I think will be easy to train. She already knows sit, wait and down(sometimes)
We had forgotten how exhausting a new family member can be!
I think I have lost a couple of perrenials, planted about a month ago, one, a veronicastrum, I am not happt about, still it may perk up
We are collecting the caravan today, holiday in it next week and then selling it as we are finding it harder to manage - really upset as I love my holidays in it but there doesn't seem any other way to go

I believe we have the rain here now
For those that were intrigued by my salvia, here is a pic of the flowers:
They are a hot pink colour
Nice colour Panda - I have some Dianthus that shade and love them
Best wishes for your cousin Verd. Harde for the patient, but also for those around them - not knowing quite what to expect or how to deal with it.
Good luck at the dentist Yvie. Is your appointment at two thirty?
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
