  • Morning guysimage. Still bright and dry here but forcast rain before lunch, done a little watering anyway don't entirely trust those weather people if they tell you the time it's wise to look at your watchimage

Not one red spotty lady on our patch (well perhaps oneimageimage) saw a single bright yellow one with 2 spots on last evening must check who he is. Loads of black fly and ant farmers image hate rubbing them off but the only way.  Off out at lunchtime to a family get together so no garden projects this morning, cuppa and catch up GW and B G on the box.  Have a good day all imageimage

Morning all. Very late for me but I had a long day yesterday  in Glen Lochay and didn't get home till after nine - picking up oldest fairy en route with perfect timing! She made me some strawberries and cream which was my dinner image

Took lots of pix of the sea of wild orchids - then managed to lose my camera somewhere on the way back down mountain image Almost stepped on  two or three little frogs as well and disturbed two herds of deer (or the same one twice) so lots to see image

LP - Verd lives in the sub tropical continent of Cornwall. Think we should make him live up here for a couple of years don't you think? image

Trying to catch up with all your doings but there's a lot! Hope DD has  a great day. She'll be exhausted

You picked the best day of the weekend for your walk Fairy.  Shame about your cameraimage.  LilyP I wouldn't mind sharing our rain with those who are going short.  It's still pouring down and I had to drag the dog out this morning - she hates getting wet.

I saw a ladybird on the fence a few weeks ago but none since.  Wonky's being greedy with all her larvaeimage.

Have a good time at DD's open day Lizzie and let us see a few picsimage.  Hope all goes well DDimage.

Rb my parents live in Cheshire and I'm going down next Sunday as it's my Dad's 91st birthday on the Tuesday and my Mum wants to find something to wear for a wedding they've been invited to.   That'll be funimage.

I had lots of ladybirds on the hedge recently and they were definitely 'procreating' image

...not seen any larvae but hope I will.

I don't mind froghoppers Verd - got a few on an astilbe but they don't cause any real problem.

I'll gladly send  the rain to those in need. It was the reason I walked yesterday Lesley although there were plenty of showers. Nothing to frighten the horses though and the waterfalls were gorgeous. image

We've missed all the showers - think I'm going to have to get the hose out today if the garden is to survive the impending heatwaveimage.  Cloudy here, so hammock will stay in the cupboard today and the planting fest will definitely happen instead. imagegood news about your beans Dove.imageBad news about the camera Fairy - but glad you had a good walk.

    but first ......another cuppaimage

    Hello

Haven't seen any ladybird larvae, last year i 'farmed' them around onto the worst aphid infestations and it worked.

Pippin is more settled  but still finding a lot of things scarey. This morning it is raining (hooray) and the swish of car tyres on the road really upset her.

This rain is much needed, first here for about 3 weeks, so am not complaining, it is that gentle drizzle.

I wish DD all the best today for her open garden. I'm sure it will be wonderful and her hard work will pay off.

    GOOD LUCK DDimage
