Busy week, been visiting family in the Midlands for a few days, always lovely to catch up.
OH and I have just come back from supermarket, trolley rage was evident today, also a woman shouting at her husband for picking up the wrong product, even over the Christmas music you could hear "how many times do you have to be told, I don't like that"......felt so embarrassed for him.
Used my £40 Morison's voucher which made the shopping bill seem quite reasonable.
Stacey D….. what an opportunity. A few practical Q's first… are they your fences or a neighbour's. How many years life do you think they have in them and which way do they face?
Just popped in, finished my ironing Easy meal tonight, pizza & salad & maybe a gargle or two. Out to lunch again tomorrow and then a pop in at Mum's Bro & SIL doing pre- Christmas visit. Perhaps I should volunteer for leaf raking for all, eating a lot and not doing a great deal. There isn't a fat faced smiley I can use
Hi Bill in Canada, glad you found us chatty lot on here. What are your Christmas Day plans? Do tell. Whatever you are doing please keep your snow to yourself. Or maybe Verdun would like some
Coach party of local neerdowells tonight travelling to pub now managed by the landlords who previously managed our local…. if that makes sense. Just to give them immoral support of course in their new venture and wish them luck over a glass or two. Hopefully they will have a scratch band with Johnny Fingers ( Clapton mark 2) playing all our favourite tunes. . Hope beer and coach travel doesn't make anyone
Enjoy it Woody. Hope you come home in a better state than my H after attending a Riff quiz last Friday One person playing was part of a former band called Norfolk & Good. Hope I don't get reported for that.
Evening all. Have a good time WW. Stacey that fence looks like it might be a goner.
I have been seed sowing today. Sown some Meconopsis and some Verbena hastata in the greenhouse. They both like a cold period and should germinate in the spring. I find sowing seed very life affirming, particularly at this time of year, as it starts to take the mind forward to spring.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team

I saw a nice combination of winter jasmine and red berried cotoneaster yesterday. The berries will be gone soon but the jasmine will continue
