My Husband did the ride 2 years running, I had to go and collect him from Brighton afterwards, really crafty not allowed to take any bikes on the train this day. I had to go about 30 miles to get him it took FOUR HOURS. Is also the reason I have annual leave this week. I used to live 12 miles from the Hospital where I work, one year i tried all routes home, they were all blocked. Policeman told me to go up to Guildford, I knew I couldnt get home that way, anyway. I was in uniform told him I had just worked a 12 hour night shift, need to get home and sleep before the next one, he VERY grudgingly stopped the bikes for me to cross the road. I even tried checking the route and road closures trying to find an alternative, bearing in mind my Husband was doing the run, it didnt work, difficult to pick a specific night off, so annual leave!
Morning all! Up arlier than I'd like, but didn't want to wake hubby as he wasn't well again last night.
I'd like to ask a question people....could anyone describe to me how they would imagine a garden planter.......anyone getting their description closest to the actually prize I won, wins a jolly good laugh when I show the picture!
Subject of cycling.....one of my best friends is currently cycling around the world for charity, self funded, living in a tent on dehydrated food! Gearsweneveruse.com is his site, amazing pics! Just been deported from Azerbaijan, so I'm not worried! (He's a gardener too!)
Hope everyone has an easy like Sunday morning kind of day!
Garden planter - rectangular, made of terracotta, already filled with annual bedding plants .....thats my guess, look forward to winning the prize. However, probably a little more quirky, from the sounds of it.
just about to take littlest chicklet to work, then another day of planting out (cosmos and rudbeckia, if Winter is looking in). Got my tomatoes sorted yesterday -they are now growing in their final pots up their strings. Might visit another NGS garden this afternoon - it seems to be peak season for them atm. Enjoy your days everyone ....rain forecast for tomorrow will be very welcome.
Haha, well...... Usually I have a low expectations avoid disappointment policy but thought gardeners weren't the type to lead you up the garden path!..... sorry!....I will post a picture.....just building anticipation!
Not saying......both Chicky and SGL have given equally good descriptions..... Its a planter half empty or full quandary!
WW - a big stone urn/long planter and either alpines or a specimen shrub depending on which one it is. Or a timber equivalent.
Don't think I'll win the prize...
I'll have to go and sort myself out and go to the cemetery and catch up on h****work. Legs/feet are sore (that's what I get for adding an extra 5 miles along the glen) but how can you not when it looks like this
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

hope Fidget's do is going/went well
Wonky, my idea of a planter would be simular to chickys. Or possibly a large urn type one. But I guess its rather small, maybe plastic and empty
