I had a laugh about the umbrellas. I can never understand why people use them.

they're really not much use here in Scotland Pat but people still buy  them!

I've just realised that the reason I'm awake so early - was before 5am, is that we were shocked into action by our poodle making violent vomittie sounds in the corner of the bedroom. Action stations - hubby to open the back door and me struggling to extricate myself from bedclothes and getting her with a hand around her muzzle to the door before the carpet got the treatment.  Nothing like it to wake you up. Hubby is still out there somewhere, presumably on his computer while poodle and I have sunk back to our beds. Since she is going on 14, these little things seem to happen. At least my heart rate has settled down now.image

Back from Harvest Festival, birthday party (fun, treasure hunt) and OH's concert. Watched Downton, but recorded it as OH had fallen asleep on the sofa.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Pat hope your pooch ok,

sorry to hear about positive testing fortb Frit, must be distressing to say the least

we have been up Loch Lomond  way for weekend at friends. Loverly time but the recent first aid course  taught at a client night at vets came to good use as number one pooch badly lacerated her leg behind dew claw due to chasing a deer and totally disregarding commands. Duck tape has worked a treat!

the colours fantastic, I love this tine of year

doubt I will be awake for moonshine image

Morning morning Pat - hope you managed to catch up on your sleep and that HRH is still OK.  I'm up to have a look at the moon but it's either the conditions or my eyesight but it really wasn't worth getting up forimage.

Gertie, well done with your slug hunt.  I'm afraid I turn a blind eye because I don't want to get that closeimage.

LikyP I Hooe your poor dog's leg isn't too badly injuredimage.  What a good job you went to the first aid course.

Lizzie, that sounded like another lovely eveningimage.  Downton was great again wasn't it.  I'll be sad when it's finished for good.

See you later at a decent hourimage

Hi fellow moon watchers, there is some advantage in not being able to sleep.

How can you lie there and think of England

Hello you early birds.  it has been sunny here today after a foggy start which is usual I think. Sorry you're still having sleep issues punkdoc. While wandering around the garden found a little leveret crouched down under the thyme hedge. Mum must have left her there.

I'm hoping to get a good look at the moon rise today if the clouds don't roll in. According to Hubby's research, we won't be getting as spectacular view as you over there. Yesterday it rose over the hills about 5.30 pm, so heres hoping.
