Morning all. We're expecting a super moon here tomorrow night as well I think. It'll be interesting to see if any of us photos. I always have problems because the flash goes off and ruins it.
welcome back Dove. We all missed you and I'm glad the holiday was good.
Well it looks as though the fire season is starting already. Hubby has just been called out to a bush fire. What can I say. I'm just a grumpy old thing and not sympathetic to people who think they can do a little burn off and then it, as usual, gets away from them. Grrr!
with a bit of luck, they'll get it under control fairly quickly. At least it's Sunday, so there are lots of volunteer fire fighters around to help, unlike a week day when most of them are working.
G'day Pat Hope your hubby is back soon with the fire swiftly sorted.
As our holiday was a little later than usual this year I really noticed the later sunrise and earlier sunset in Cornwall - they're about half an hour later than here in Norfolk.
I hope Panda slept well - I managed to wrench my shoulder/neck while on holiday and sleeping in a strange bed didn't help - it's still sore but I'm sure a few nights in our own bed, plus OH rubbing on the 'liniment' will sort it out.

Hi Dove. Yes to all you said. Hope your shoulder/neck gets itself straightened out soon. It can be very irritating - just when you're not thinking about it, you reach out for something and then it all comes back with a swift jab. There's nothing like your own bed and a kind hubby to sort these things out.
Morning all. Think it may have been a touch frosty last night - pretty cold anyway - lots of condensation on the windows.
Re the supermoon conversation last night, the moon phase is apparently 'waxing gibbous' - no idea what that means but it sounds great
Off to walk up past Arrochar later after going to the cemetery. Just a hill today - 50 feet short of a mountain Weather's looking good for it - that YR forecast was off for yesterday Pat - Met office one looking like the most accurate
Some of that painkilling gel can be quite good Dove - I use it a lot
Has anyone watched the Patagonia - Earth's Secret Paradise prog? It was on Friday night - utterly breathtaking. Catch it if you can
Off to see what I've missed and get my breakfast.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Glad the weather's good down there - it's good here too and there's lots to do. For a start we have to persuade Hefty Hedgehog to move house away from the roots of the tree that's going to be felled in a few weeks' time ...

Morning all,
Nice to see you back Dove.
Looking like a good week for gardening here, weather autumnal but mostly dry they say.
As expected the fire was someone trying to burn a pile of logs and it got away from them. Hubby is now home and fire controlled.
