Congrats to mini-Frit - lovely picture Hope they'll be really happy
My cosmos and rudbeckia are going out tomorrow Winter. Gaura and Amaranthus went out today.
just had a lovely evening at a local ngs open garden - great idea to have an evening opening ....meant I got loads of gardening done in my own garden too
Getting close to bedtime here, last nights magical mystery tour is catching up with me
Lovelly, pic, but I think the bride is naked, (save money on an expensive dress) you know like the members of the WI on the calender hiding behind their "iced buns" behind the iced buns! Only joking - of course us ladies have to see the dress!! Busy-Lizzie, you you said 4 daughters, I have 4, but 2 of each? Guess you mean 4 kids, - like me, 2 boys and 2 girls.
Liriodendron - send me your rain, please, they keep saying its going to rain but it doesnt here (south coast)
Unfortunately, Father Day, is the same day as the London to Brighton cycle run foo the british heart Foundation, very difficult to get about in this area
Good morning all Mild but cloudy here - some thunder crashes and lightning flashes last night, and a bit (not a lot) of rain. OH says that there was also a group of youngsters walking back from the golf club in the wee small hours, playing A-ha's Take on Me as loud as they could on a mobile phone ... Bless.
OH is going to work today - he doesn't usually work on Sundays but one of their weekend youngsters is in hospital with (or rather without) her appendix and someone else is moving house. He'll be coming home to slow-roast belly of pork, roast potatoes with sage and broad beans I'll spend the day potting on the tomatoes, if it stays dry. The forecast says it will.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
London to Brighton bike ride completly blocks us in too Nannybeach. Great thing to do but really wish they would do it another weekend. Has always been on Fathers day! There must be so many riders who are dads/sons/daughters too that don't get to see their Dads/children!

Morning all - no time to catch up here last night, didn't get home till half nine after a mammoth day's walking. I was slightly weary....
Weather stayed fair, lots of lovely wildlife, and the sun even came out at times!
Lovely pic Liri - you must be very proud of such a lovely girl. They look very happy.
I'm giving my two a couple of one way tickets to Gretna Green...
Glad it all went well with little chicklet chicky
We've had some rain overnight and everything looks very green. I'll have a look round to see what I've missed.
Happy Father's Day to all the dads on here.
