Evening all, Still feeling rubbish, I'm supposed to be going to Firsborn's tomorrow to help Mabel celebrate her second birthday but I'm not going if the cold doesn't improve drastically. Wouldn't want to pass it around.
Have been lolling around all day but did go for a stroll round the garden to get some fresh air and noticed that both my new peonies had opened up. However neither of them was white which was a bit disappointing as one of them is supposed to be Duchesse de Nemours. I have started a thread hoping to identify them, so if anyone knows a bit about peonies please take a look.
Verdun, trust you to turn up on the wrong day, or was it intentional so that you would get a special guided tour, although I guess not as it probably meant you missed out on the cream tea.
Hubby is cooking a curry for tea in the vain hope that I'll be able to taste something.
Evening all. Had a great day in Doncaster supporting a "Young Leaders in South Yorkshire" celebrations. It rained and was very quiet unfortunately.
Tomorrow I'm at Harewood House father's day celebrations.... I'll be the one in the full fire fighters kit spending the longest day of the year in a completely dark smoke filled maze. I must be mad.
Sleepy womble, full of fab crab, and potato and green salad, hubby wanted to have some asparagus so that's saved for tomorrow, about 30 sweet peas to pick tomorrow! Think my miss Bateman is trying to flower and I brought the rain back with me! Flatters not happy with his new collar, third this week! As the bell let's the birds know where he is!.....yes Flatters, that's the point!
Womble war wounds from Doves, two. One grazed knuckle on wall, one nasty bite of some kind just on my cheekbone so it is even more pronounced than normal!
Sorry Wintersong, meant to answer earlier. I would plant them out. Annuals grow quickly. If they were perennials I would be inclined to grow them on a bit. Planted my Cosmos and annual rudbeckias nearly a month ago, but I expect France is warmer at this time of year.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Your daughter is very pretty, Fritillary. Do you have 4 daughters? I have 4, but 2 of each, all married too. 9th grandchild expected any minute.
