WOW Finland looks amazing - not to sure about the gnats and mossies though!

Facilities wouldn't worry me if I had a loo with a view image

House clean now to attempt lavender,(Thanks Edd) I was also going to make Elderflower Cordial but local chemist sold out of citric acid this morning

Fabulous view from your cabin Liri.  It looks an amazing placeimage.

    Happy new plants Pandaimage

Nearly back to normal thanks Rb.  I've been tackling the weeds in the long border and trying to rescue plants at the back from the neighbours adventurous brambles and sticky willie.  They have got nettles as tall as me - OK, that's not very tallimage.  I am kicking myself though because the ground is covered in a mat-like weed and I've just realised it's stachys seedlings that were obviously in the compost I mulched the bed with. Doh.image.

Glad Reggie has got his appetite back Clari.  Matty good luck tomorrow if you are 'inspected'image

Lily Pilly, I expect DD is extra busy, she does B & B and her garden is open on the 29th.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Oh Liri - your holiday looks wonderful - just what we would love - except for the mozzies - I always get bitten and react badly with swelling and pus-filled blisters image

Well, that's the parquet in the hallway and the open plan sitting room and dining room area all vacuumed, washed, waxed and buffed until it's gleaming and a big  ((hug)) for OH  who helped a lot. image  Can't do it on my own as the sofa and dining furniture etc all have to be moved, and you can't drag them across parquet 'cos it marks, so they have to be lifted. It does look lovely now it's done  image

While we were doing the floor the robin was getting fed up with waiting for mealworms so he actually came and sat on the lip of the dining room doorway! He's very busy with at least three fledglings in our garden image

We did make an effort, depends what interests you. We did enjoy some of it, but the dirt, crowds, noise and poverty were depressing. I live in France, which is beautiful and there is an NHS and a welfare state.

BL, having reread my post it looked a bit rude, my apologies , we just got out of the City to some of the great gardensimage

Hurrah, I am back on, thought I had been banned for being awol so long!

Been very busy and feeling extremely stressed, garden running wild, going to be an embarrassing open day I think, got until a week on Sunday to pull it together.

I do hope you are all well, I feel like I have missed weeks of chat. I am just having a 10 minute coffee break before back to it. Tbh just feel like crying but I know that's no help so ever onwards! Hope to have chance later to pop in again but PTA meeting tonight, no rest for the wicked. image

Edd- Elderflower champagne - easy dash of cordial in bottom of glass, fill with sparkling wine of your choice - also very good mixed in a Pimms- as a spritzer and with sparkling water - I just never make enough!!!!!

Lavender cuttings taken, some tomatoes actually planted into pots in GH image

Now trying to make up a large pot with odds and sods of annuals that have nowhere else to go.
