Lilly: German Shepherds are very prone to sensitive bellies. Unfortunately for Reggie he had two days of exploding throughout the hallway and a trip to the vets for prodding and putting thermometers up his *cough* before lots of medication and quiet time. He spent all of yesterday trying to inform us that he's NEVER been fed ever EVER and by the way did you know that the fridge which is now his favourite place to sit by contains FOOD?

Its starting to cloud over here already: I have the urge to visit a museum or two on my list. Unfortunately two are closed, three I want to go with my partner, and another three are a little too far to travel on an impromptu trip. Days off are hard work!

    Hello

just typed long post and it disappeared image

Anyway today is a HW day as the Dog's Trust may do a home visit tomorrow. They don't visit every one but just pick out some. So decided I would be prepared.

Everyone seems to have had good weekends with meet ups in gardens. We went to the 3 Counties Show, always  an eclectic mix of things to see and do (and buy), exhuasting but enjoyable.

This afternoon I am going to attempt lavender cuttings (any tips anyone) I know it's a bit late but daughter has just said she would like a lavender bed - cheapest way is to have cuttings off Mum's I guess. Also some GH work but it may be too warm in thereimage

Morning all.  Looks like a good gardening day for most of you image  I've just got a few minutes to upload a photo or two before going out to cut the lawn...

Thanks Wonky - yes we did, and it was!  See below.  image

    image

That's the view through the front window of our cabin.  Just trees, wild flowers and a lake (which we used for washing - no running water, just a large container of drinking water supplied by the owner).  And a log fire, a calor gas cooker, a sauna and a rowing boat.  Solar panel provided electricity for 3 lights.  image

    image

And there was this, 25m from the cabin.  Good thing it was light all night or we'd have been tripping over tree trunks...  image

    image

The woodland flora was stunning.  The early-morning scent of lily-of-the-valley combined with damp birch foliage and pine needles was unforgettable.  image

    image

     Majestically tall, straight trees...

    image

...and that lake was to die for...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
