Aaand it's hot again down here...

Having wonderful fun with our new pets, the two Indian Runner ducks, Sam and Frodo (respectively duck and drake). All of a sudden I am philosophic about slugs and snails... I just see them as eggs at one remove. Sam eats any garden pest that comes in her reach and lays an egg a day... even with the move, she didn't miss a beat!image

I envy you those runner ducks Katherine!  We get foxes here so I darn't keep any domesticated animals other than the under-gardener, who gets the foot of the bed image

If I lived in a manor house I'd be slightly worried about that confession imageimage

Good morning all image  Yes!!!!!!  Wall to wall sunshine here too Chicky image and the overnight temp only dropped to 10.8C  No wonder I had to take a layer off the duvet in the night!

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Wintersong, yes we have foxes too... that worries me since I live in the middle of a forest... but the ducks night quarters are more scure than my own homeimage Should I lose my ducks to foxes, I'd give it another go, but I would get also a goose. They are fierce, and rather discouraging to predators!

Runnybeak, are there any NON messy ducks?? image

    Enjoy the sun, Dove image
