8am here so not long woken up. Morning all. Nice photos Hosta, seems a bit wet over there. I've been putting soaker hoses back on garden beds to ease the amount of time I have to stand with a hose in my hand. Dry as. And warmer days. I keep marvelling at the complete opposites between our weather patterns.
I planted a row of Acacia boormanii below the septic trench many years ago to stop people driving across it as a short cut. This has now become a large grove which probably should be thinned out, but every spring it turns into a bright yellow mass. It's just starting to turn now.
my Hubby bought me a kindle some time ago and it took my quite a while to get used to reading my favourite books on it, but now when I pick up one of my old favourite books from the shelf to re-read, I find the font too small and a bit of a nuisance to need a bookmark all the time. Now that I've been given an iPad with the kindle on it, I never use the old one any more. It's all a matter of what you get used to.
You're up late Hosta, and yes I think that's why my photos are upside down. (Just like me sometimes). I'm such a moron with these electronic gadgets that whenever I try to get the photos to turn round, I lose whatever I've typed, so now I don't bother. Sorry if you had to stand on your head to look.
I've decided I need a map of the UK and Western Europe on the wall with different coloured pins for each of you so that I can picture your weather events. I'm all over the place trying to work it out. I'd end up with a colourful wall, wouldn't I? It wouldn't work though because not everyone says where they are on their name thingie,

Hosta - I was being naughty
Off to bed for me now - I need my beauty sleep. See you all tomorrow
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
the first image is the Tamar, usually between the line of foliage and the bigger shrub beyond.
The second is the field beside the river.
The third is the road beyond that field
and the fourth is the field beyond the road.
The water is now flowing from the furthest field, across the road back towards the river.
No idea who high it was yesterday. This was around 6pm this evening.
Gosh Hosta, that's a serious amount of water!
Do you have waders??
and it's September, after summer, not after winter and spring rains.
I've lived here 4 years and have never even noticed the river, even thought I drive past it most days, and certainly it's never burst its banks.
