we've decided to have microwaved leftovers tonight so that we don't have to do something hot and inventive in the kitchen. Lucky I have a freezer full of such like.
Morning all. Did anyone manage any sleep with the wind? I haven't inspected the damage yet (still dark) but I know several trees went down yesterday near us.
Aside from chores I shall be spending today cleaning the caravan for winter. We were meant to be going away in it this week, although with the bad weather perhaps I shouldn't be too upset about his lordship going to work. A friend who was driving high sided lorries yesterday was keeping me updated on the roads: at one point he was nearly hit by a free flying car bumper!
If anyone has any ironing need doing nip it over I've got Monty recorded to watch while I do ours and truth be told I'll be grateful for the excuse not to have to clean the kitchen (might have to ban his lordship from going in there if he's not careful).
Oh Clari. You made me laugh about the kitchen. It's a choice of having nice meals provided by him and cleaning up after or doing it myself. No choice really - I ratherclikehaving a break from cooking.
i almost never iron nowadays. One of the many advantages of living on a remote spot and nobody ever sees us.
Morning people - Pat, hope it's cooling down for you a bit now. It's bad enough not getting out to walk because of snow, but heat is worse. I couldn't cope with your levels of temperature. Look after yourselves
The snow has missed us here for now but there's some forecast for later today and overnight. We had horrible sleety stuff and hail instead, but it's calmer now. I looked at a walk report some madman posted after attempting to walk at Arrochar yesterday (about 40 miles north of me) Several feet of snow at 100 metres. He didn't get far
No rest for the wicked -salt mines for me. Had a lazy weekend for me - I could get used to being at home and idling, but it's not good for us is it?
Clari - I hope you get some time to yourself in the next month or so. Make the time
Off for a swift glance at the doings I've missed here before I go. Stay warm and don't do too much h****work...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning everyone, I've got two days off!, this is my plan, to get the rest of my Xmas shopping done, put the Xmas tree up and maybe wrap the presents up too, wish it would stop raining tho, the wind as dropped but it's still raining, anyway it's better than being in work : )
Pat I will send you some of our weather, but only if you send some sun, is that a deal? : )

Pat
hope the evening cools down for you - shall I send you a cooling breeze? We've got plenty here - we can spare a few
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Would be nice, Dove.
